After Effects Bird Doodle

I don't subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud for a multitude of reasons. However, the maker-space lab at the public library has the Adobe programs on one of its computers, so I like to stop by during open hours to doodle on it for old time's sake.

I drew this goofy-looking bird in Photoshop, then imported it in After Effects to test out the puppet rig feature. I occasionally made animations like this in college, back when I could have full time access to these programs. Now I'm trying to learn how to replicate the look of it in Blender.
